The Jonas Brothers might have just released their first album in 10 years, but it looks like fans can expect a bit more music from the guys sooner rather than later.

Jonas Brothers fans have had a bit of a week between the release of the band’s first album in 10 years, Happiness Begins, and the release of their highly anticipated Amazon documentary, Chasing Happiness.

Happiness Begins may be chock-full of jams, but eagle-eyed listeners may have noticed that one new Jonas Brothers track that made its way into the brothers’ documentary was notably absent from the new album.

So what’s the deal with “Jersey” and when can we expect to get a full copy of the track? Thanks to a fan who posed that very same question when the Jonas Brothers hit up MTV’s TRL Top 10 on Friday (June 7), it looks as though we’ve got our answer!

When asked about why “Jersey” wasn’t on the album, Nick Jonas said, “We only wrote it a month ago.”

“So the album was done about a month and a half, two months ago because they have to obviously get all the CDs printed — the whole thing. But we watched the first cut of the documentary, and one of the lines that stood out to us was when we said, ‘W weren’t supposed to get out of Jersey,” explained the singer.

From there, Nick explained that the line from Chasing Happiness inspired the JoBros to hop back in the studio with Jason and James Evigan to work the song that eventually became “Jersey.”

So when and where is “Jersey” coming out?

“It will be released on a soundtrack that’s coming out for the documentary, so keep your eyes peeled for that,” promised Nick. “I’m really proud of the song. I think it perfectly embodied our story of our roots.”

One thing Nick didn’t clarify was when we could all get our hands on the soundtrack for the Jonas Brothers’ Chasing Happiness documentary. Here’s hoping they’ll release it sooner rather than later!
