Sealing a deal that will please many fans, the actor who plays Don Draper has inked a new contract securing his stay on AMC’s Mad Men.

Jon Hamm just inked a 3-year Mad Men contract with Lionsgate TV and network AMC in a deal that makes the show’s star one of the highest paid actors in a cable series. Mad Men returns to AMC in 2012, and this deal brings the critically acclaimed show one step closer to production.
Work on Mad Men season 5 is expected to begin later this year with a premiere on AMC in early 2012..
