Here’s a heartwarming story: Johnny Depp recently took a break from filming the newest Pirates of the Caribbean movie to cheer up child patients in a local hospital.

Johnny Depp, international superstar and that guy with the dogs, is currently filming the fifth installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie saga in Australia.

Depp will reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow, a figure beloved by almost everyone.

While in Queensland, Depp decided to visit a children’s hospital in full pirate get-up, to cheer up the patients.

As the images from 9news show, the children were very excited to meet the seasoned actor.

Parents revealed to the press that Depp went to every room, making sure he spoke to all the patients.

This isn’t the first time Depp has donned the Jack Sparrow outfit for a good cause — in fact, he has admitted that he often travels with the costume, in case an occasion like this one presents itself.

In related news, Johnny Depp is also developing a new series, based on the 2013 music documentary Muscle Shoals.

As Variety writes, “The TV drama will go behind the music to tell the stories of Muscle Shoals that birthed the iconic “Muscle Shoals Sound” by exploring the rich and vast milieu of the segregated South through colorful characters, cultural and political history and Southern gothic settings.”
