John Simm, who made several appearances as The Master in Doctor Who, has said in an interview that he would “certainly consider” reprising his role in the hit show.

During an appearance on the BBC’s The One Show, Simm (40) was asked whether he would consider joining Matt Smith on screen and reprising his role as the Master.

“I’d certainly consider it. There seems to be a lot of talk about it recently,” the star replied.

The actor, who joined the show for a three episode stint in season 3 and returned for David Tennant’s final episode The End of Time, where he sacrifices his life to save the Doctor, quickly remarked that he has not been approached by anyone to reappear on the show.

“I haven’t spoken to anyone about it, but I would definitely consider it.” he explained. “It was such fun to do.”

This is particularly exciting given that Executive Producer and Lead Writer on Doctor Who, Steven Moffat, recently suggested he could return in a future episode.
