Earlier this month, we told you Disney is likely creating the black list script Saving Mr. Banks.  The movie seems to be making progress with production, as there are now some talks of a director.

The Blind Side director John Lee Hancock is in early discussions with Disney to lead the film, as stated by Deadline.   The film would tell the untold story of the 14 year struggle of Walt Disney to obtain the filming rights from the Mary Poppins children’s book author, P.L. Travers.

There have also been rumors of Tom Hanks portraying Walt Disney and Meryl Streep as P.L. Travers.

Would you see the black list script in theaters?  What do you think about John Lee Hancock potentially directing?
