Pixar Chief Creative Officer (and huge fanboy) John Lasseter has recently been making the press rounds to promote Brave, opening next weekend.

With Disney having acquired Marvel, Lasseter was asked by Collider if he’d ever be interested in Pixar and Marvel teaming up.

“Well, I can’t say anything about that because Marvel just got—[they’ve] been a couple years as part of the Disney company, we’ve been six years as part of the Disney company. And at Pixar, we stay focused on making original films. Even our sequels are kind of created internally and we come up with ideas [on our own]. I’m also leading the Walt Disney Animation Studio and all of that. These studios are filmmaker driven studios, so if a filmmaker comes to me and says, ‘Hey, I wanna do this,’ then I would be really open to it.”

The key comment is at the end, where it seems that all it’ll take for Lasseter to be behind such a project would be a filmmaker being passionate about the idea.

Can you imagine a Marvel super hero taken on by Pixar’s creative minds? We’d be intrigued, but we’re not sure Pixar would be able to provide the right feel for a Marvel film.
