The Kissing Booth star Joey King could soon be sharing the silver screen with Brad Pitt.

According to Deadline, Emmy Award nominee Joey King is currently in talks to join the cast of Sony Pictures’ action thriller, Bullet Train.

Based on the Japanese novel, Maria Beetle, by author Kotaro Isaka, the popular book tells the story of a group of hitmen and assassins, all of whom have conflicting motives, and who also happen to be traveling aboard the same train to Tokyo.

If King boards the project, she’ll join previously announced cast member Brad Pitt.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the Academy Award winning actor is set to take on the role of an American hitman named Ladybug.

As for King, Deadline describes her part as being “a supporting part on the cameo level.” Meanwhile, a source close to the project tells THR that the star of Hulu’s The Act will play an unassuming teenaged assassin named Prince.

Behind the camera, the upcoming action thriller is being helmed by David Leitch, whose most recent credits include spearheading Fast and Furious offshoot, Hobbs & Shaw, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Jason Statham.

In addition to directing, Leitch will also be supervising the script, which, in turn, is set to be penned by Zak Olkewicz (Fear Street).

Currently, there’s no word yet on when we might see Bullet Train debut, but it’s being reported that Sony Pictures hopes to begin filming on the thriller as early as this coming fall.

As for Joey King, fans of the young star can currently catch her reprising her role as Elle Evans in Netflix’s The Kissing Booth 2.

The Kissing Booth fans can also look forward too seeing King return as Elle Evans yet again in the recently announced threequel, The Kissing Booth 3, set to hit Netflix sometime in 2021.
