Though we had known it was in the works thanks to a report a few weeks ago, we now know exactly when ABC News’ interview with The Casual Vacancy author J.K. Rowling will air on television.

The interview will air in pieces on ABC’s Good Morning America, World News with Diane Sawyer, and Nightline on Wednesday, September 26. Additional footage from the interview will air on Good Morning America the following day.

Nightline co-anchor Cynthia McFadden is the ABC reporter heading to Scotland to conduct the interview. The network promises a “rare” and “exclusive” look at The Casual Vacancy.

Rowling’s first post-Potter novel will hit store shelves on Thursday, September 27. Little, Brown calls the book “blackly comic, thought-provoking and constantly surprising.” This is one of several scheduled appearances across the globe. Her only other known United States television appearance is on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. A broadcast date and time has not been set, but we suspect it will be around release week.

Visit our Casual Vacancy Hub for a complete list of Rowling’s scheduled appearances and interviews. We will be bringing you each one as it is released online!
