Amongst the 49 victims in last weekend’s horrific shooting in Orlando was Luis Vielma, who worked at Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

As we told you earlier this week, Luis was a huge Harry Potter fan and a Gryffindor. His death was made known to J.K. Rowling, who had tweeted out the following message on Monday:

Today we’re learning that Rowling continued to offer her condolences to Luis’ family by sending flowers to his funeral which took place on Friday. BuzzFeed confirmed the news with a rep for the Harry Potter author.

The large wreath is made of red flowers and includes a note in the center. “To Luis, who died for love. You will never be forgotten. J.K. Rowling.”

A friend of Luis’ named Alma, who attended the funeral, told BuzzFeed, “It was a beautiful gesture to see J.K. tweet about him, and when I walked in to church and saw the beautiful flowers that she has sent I knew he was in heaven dancing of happiness.”

Alma added, “Today at his mass it was said time and time again that he will live on through us. He will never be forgotten. He gave so many of us so much joy with his beautiful smile and how silly he was.”

Luis’ love for Harry Potter was reiterated in his obituary, “He loved being able to go and be part of that every day he worked. There was no greater experience for him at this time.”

Earlier this week, Harry Potter fans gathered at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in both Orlando and Hollywood, and raised their wands in tribute to Luis and the other 48 victims.
