Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has helped design a charm bracelet themed around her wizarding series which will be put up for auction by Sotheby’s.

The bracelet has twelve charms with various artifacts from her seven-part story including a lightning bolt, a Golden Snitch, the Deathly Hallows symbol, the Sorting hat, and the flying key captured by Harry in Sorcerer’s Stone.

The “Lumos Maxima” charm bracelet is expected to be sold for around £15,000 – £20,000 when it’s put up for auction December 10, and the money raised will go directly to Rowling’s Lumos charity. The foundation looks to help institutionalized children around the world and provide them with a better life.

Feast your eyes on the beautiful jewelry:

The butterfly charm is the Lumos Foundation’s logo. It was created to mark the five year anniversary of the publication of The Tales of Beedle the Bard, sales of which also benefited Lumos.

We’d love to see a version of this bracelet be created for the general public which could be in the $50 – $100 range and still benefit Lumos. It would be a must for many Harry Potter fans – particularly those of the female gender.

Thinking further, it would’ve been neat if the bracelet had a special item from her spinoff series Fantastic Beasts which Rowling is writing as a movie for Warner Bros. Okay… we’re getting ahead of ourselves.
