Now available in paperback, J.K. Rowling’s The Casual Vacancy has been pulling in strong sales once again.

According to the Official U.K. Top 50 books chart, the book has been in the number one position for a second straight week. It sold 28,666 copies in its second week as a paperback. The number two book, The Racketeer by John Grisham, was trailing behind by 10,000 copies.

Sales of The Casual Vacancy may be aided by the fact that Rowling has been in the headlines recently after she revealed she wrote The Cuckoo’s Calling under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. The book was published in April but wasn’t known as Rowling’s work until July when The Sunday Times heard from a source that Rowling operated under Galbraith.

The Casual Vacancy was originally published in September of last year and was the author’s first post-Potter novel. The BBC picked up rights to the book so they could develop it as a miniseries (scheduled for release next year).

Meanwhile, sales for The Cuckoo’s Calling continue to be strong as well. The book ranked in the #4 spot on the aforementioned Top 50 books list.
