Jimmy Fallon hosted a Lip Sync Battle with guest Paul Rudd during Tuesday’s Tonight Show, and three great performances ensued.
The premise of Lip Sync Battle: Fallon and one of his guests do their best to lip syncing classic songs for the audience. Each contestant “sings” twice.
Rudd’s first song was Tina Turner’s “You Better Be Good To Me,” which won over the audience for a brief moment until Jimmy Fallon pulled out “Juke Box Hero” by Foreigner.
While impressive, the third song of the night was the charm. Paul Rudd put the mic stand to the side and shined with his performance of Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now,” his second song. The audience was so pleased that Fallon admitted defeat.

The show’s Lip Sync Battle is a great example of the unique comedy Fallon brings to the 11:35 p.m. time slot.
Rudd appeared on The Tonight Show to promote the return of Anchorman 2 in theaters. The film has “763 new jokes,” and the co-star used the appearance to debut a great new clip.
The second guest of the night was Shaq who walked out with a wig and swung Fallon around a few times.
Fallon kicked off his run as host of The Tonight Show last Monday and ratings have been strong so far. The show averaged 8.49 million viewers in its first week according to NBC. Those numbers make it the most-watched week for the show in 20 years, thanks in part to the Winter Olympics (Making it even more impressive: Fallon didn’t start until midnight last week for the first four nights).
