On Thursday night’s Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, the new talk show host dusted off an old VHS tape in which he sings about one of his favorite “sports.”

The Wastepaper Basketball song looks like it’s straight out of the 80s thanks to some special effects, nice cheerleading outfits complete with pompoms, and some good ol’ paper throwing.

“Basketball is my favorite sport, but not the kind of basketball that’s on the court,” raps Fallon over a cheesy drum beat. “I’m talking ’bout the b-ball that you play in the office.”

Current NBA star LeBron James makes a cameo in the second half of the song, and the two compete in an intense Wastepaper Basketball match. The fun falls to piece when Fallon’s boss catches them in the act and notices they used important documents for their game.

Fallon started his reign as Tonight Show host last Monday, February 17. Since then he’s been on a tear with great guests and even better skits. For example, on Wednesday night, movie stars Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore – the “great romantic comedy couple,” in Fallon’s words – teamed up for a song about working together every ten years:

The Tonight Show airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. eastern/pacific on NBC.
