Today, NBC and Saturday Night Live announced that Emmy Award winner Jim Parsons will host with musical guest Beck.

Jim Parsons will host Saturday Night Live with musical guest Beck on March 1 when the late night comedy show returns with live shows. The announcement was made on SNL’s official Twitter account as well as other media outlets:

Jim Parsons is best known for his portrayal of Sheldon Cooper on the CBS hit show The Big Bang Theory. Parson’s breakout role as Sheldon has won him three Outstanding Lead Actor in A Comedy Series Emmy Awards over the years.
