It hasn’t quite been a year since Trevor Noah took the helm of The Daily Show and the long running program continues to experience on screen talent departures.

On Wednesday, Comedy Central announced that frequent correspondent Jessica Williams will tape her final episode at the end of this week. Williams will be departing the show in order to focus her efforts on a new development deal, which the comedian signed with Comedy Central earlier this year.

According to the network, she will be working on headlining and producing a new TV show. A pilot is currently in development.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Williams said, “I feel like I’m growing up and graduating” and that she experienced many emotions after sharing the news of her departure with coworkers (who she only told this week!). In the rest of the interview, Williams discusses her decision to leave The Daily Show and focus on other work (including her new pilot and current podcast), her recent interaction with Jon Stewart, and the sort of themes she hopes to explore in future projects.

Williams joined The Daily Show in 2012 and was the youngest (and only black female) correspondent in the show’s history.

Her final piece about Bernie Sanders supporters will air on Thursday night’s show. Williams will join a growing number of former Daily Show correspondents who have gone on to host and/or develop their own shows including Stephen Colbert (host of The Late Show on CBS), John Oliver (host of Last Week Tonight on HBO), Jason Jones (who developed and stars in The Detour on TBS) and Samantha Bee (host of Full Frontal on TBS).
