Back in July we reported on American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez potentially coming to Glee in season 4. Now it appears that she will definitely be a part of the show this season!

Sanchez, who was runner-up to American Idol winner Phillip Phillips in May of this year, will be joining the show later this season, according to TVLine.com’s Michael Ausiello.

As for what role Sanchez will be fulfilling, there is no word on that just yet. However, now that it has been confirmed that she will be joining the show, expect showrunner and executive producer Ryan Murphy to surely spill the beans as the season continues.

At only 16 years old, Jessica Sanchez would fit perfectly on the show with a cast full of amazing talent in their mid to late 20s. If you remember, Jessica Sanchez won American Idol fans over last season with her absolutely breathtaking performance of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” during Whitney Houston night. Jessica was also the only contestant who was eliminated from the competition early on but was saved by the judges and given a second chance.
