Vulture is reporting that Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games) is set to re-team with her Silver Linings Playbook co-star Bradley Cooper for the much touted adaptation Serena.

Lawrence will play the titular character, which once belonged to Angelina Jolie, in the 1929 period piece directed by Oscar-winner Suzanne Bier. More info after the jump!

According to Vulture:

Serena takes place in 1929 North Carolina, where young newlyweds George and Serena Pemberton move to build a timber empire. Their ambition is all-consuming and dangerous — neither is afraid to kill or destroy anyone who opposes them — but they’re turned against each other when Serena finds she can’t bear children and then launches a deadly vendetta against her husband’s illegitimate son.

Vulture goes on to describe Lawrence’s character as “a juicy role akin to Lady Macbeth.” Bradley Cooper, who recently filmed a role opposite Lawrence in The Silver Linings Playbook, is set to play George Pemberton. Filming is expected to begin soon, so it’s safe to say Lawrence will film Serena before returning to the arena in Catching Fire later this year. What do you think of this news? Does this seem like a suitable role for Lawrence?
