Nearly a year after the fall seen around the world, Jennifer Lawrence is blaming food for her mishap at the 2013 Oscars.

In a new interview with W Magazine, Lawrence reveals that when she headed to the stage to accept her Best Actress award for Silver Linings Playbook, cake was on her mind.

“I was at the Oscars, waiting to hear
if my name was called, and I kept thinking, Cakewalk, cakewalk, cakewalk,” she says. “I thought, Why is ‘cakewalk’ stuck in my head? And then, as I started to walk up the stairs and the fabric from my dress tucked under my feet, I realized my stylist had told me, ‘Kick, walk, kick, walk.’ You are supposed to kick the dress out while you walk, and I totally forgot because I was thinking about cake! And that’s why I fell.”

Lawrence infamously told Ryan Seacrest on the Oscars red carpet earlier in the evening that she was hungry. It looks like she never got any food in between that interview and her acceptance speech.

The fall, with Peeta added in because internet:

Lawrence will next be seen in X-Men: Days of Future Past this May and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 this November. The most recent film in the dystopian series, Catching Fire, just crossed the $400 million mark at the domestic box office.
