The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the Academy Award winning actress was on the set of Dumb and Dumber To for one day only to film a cameo. In the highly-anticipated sequel, Lawrence will play a young version of Kathleen Turner’s character Fraida Feltcher. The character was not in Dumb & Dumber, released in 1994.
The sources that have informed THR also say that the entire The Hunger Games: Mockingjay cast has visited the set of Dumb and Dumber To, though don’t expect cameos from the rest of the cast. As both the film Lawrence is starring in and the one she’s cameoing in are filming in Atlanta, the Mockingjay cast is likely just there to hang out with their Hollywood friends.
It shouldn’t come as a big surprise that Lawrence would cameo in a film such as Dumb and Dumber To. Her most loyal fans will remember that one of her first big roles was starring on The Bill Engvall Show, so she’s no stranger to comedy.
