A new NBC promo highlighting several of the network’s upcoming shows gives fans their first look at Jennifer Hudson in the second season of Smash.

As NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said in the statement announcing Hudson’s role, “Her character will represent someone who reached their Broadway dream but also paid a price for it.”
NBC’s musical drama is in for some changes in the upcoming season. Newsies star Jeremy Jordan, The Addams Family‘s Krysta Rodriguez and up-and-comer Andy Mientus will be joining the cast, which won’t include four characters from season 1.
