It’s been over a decade since Jennifer Garner wrapped on Alias, but now, the actress is gearing up to return to the small screen in a big way!

Variety reports that Jennifer Garner is set to make her grand return to television via a new series from the minds of Girls creators Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner.

The new series, called Camping, is based off a U.K. television show of the same name created by Julia Davis.

The show tells the story of a man named Walt’s 45th birthday. To celebrate the occasion, his wife Kathryn plans what is meant to be a peaceful trip to the wilderness. Unfortunately, things go awry when Walt and Kathryn are joined by Kathryn’s sister, her ex-bestie, and a free-spirited Tagalong.

The official synopsis for the series promises a “weekend of tested marriages and woman on woman crime that won’t soon be forgotten.”

If the synopsis for Camping has piqued your interest, the good news is that HBO has already picked up the series for an eight episode order.

Garner will be playing Walt’s wife, Kathryn, a woman that’s described as “obsessively organized and aggressively controlling.”

In a statement announcing Garner’s involvement, Dunham and Konner (who are serving as writers and executive producers on the new series) said Garner’s character is “messy, tough and provocative and really, really fun.”

Additionally, the duo revealed that they’re incredibly excited for Garner to bring Kathryn to life:

“We love Jennifer’s restraint and comedic timing, and we can’t wait for the warmth and intelligence she’ll bring to our central character, Kathryn. It’s truly a dream to have her first on our call sheet. Now we just have to write her some stunts.”

There’s no word yet on when HBO plans to premiere Camping.
