Cassie Clare announced that Isabelle Lightwood and Alec Lightwood have been cast in The Mortal Instruments; however, she is only able to release the name of the actress playing Isabelle.
Jemima West was most recently seen in The Borgias.
She’s beautiful (like whoa) and really talented. You can see her as Vittoria on The Borgias right now. She had a lot of Izzy’s toughness and directness in her audition. I like her.
Initially Cassie was allowed to reveal both siblings but the studio contacted her and asked her to hold off. Cassie did, however, give a few tidbits for us to ponder about the actor’s identity.
I can say he’s a British actor, he has dark hair, I’m pretty sure you know who he is, I like him a lot, I’m pleased he’s going to be Alec. He and Jemima are going to be gorgeous siblings.
