Jeff Kinney, author of the extremely popular Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, has filed a lawsuit in Boston against Antarctic Press.

The lawsuit is over the publication of Diary of a Zombie Kid, which is too similar to Kinney’s books and his main character Greg Heffley.

From the Boston Globe:

Author Jeff Kinney and his company Wimpy Kid Inc. filed suit Tuesday against Antarctic Press in U.S. District Court in Boston for violating trademark laws by publishing books under the title “Diary of a Zombie Kid.”

In the complaint, Kinney alleges that Antarctic Press violated the law by publishing books that are too similar in appearance and feature a character that is also too similar-looking to Heffley.

The books “are obviously intended to confuse the public into believing that the Defendant’s books are additions to such series.”

So what do you think is the Zombie infringing on the Wimpy Kid?
