Independence Day debuted 20 years ago and has become a classic science-fiction film. For those who fell in love with it over the years, Independence Day: Resurgence was quite the gamble. Some characters returned, but others did not, and an updated story meant plenty of throwbacks while also introducing new elements.
Here at Hypable, we loved the nostalgia factor and thought the sequel was a fun time at the cinema. Jeff Goldblum in particular was a must-have going into Resurgence, and his revival of the David Levinson character did not disappoint.
