The finale for Teen Wolf season 3 is called “The Divine Move,” and Executive Producer Jeff Davis has given us a hint at what the title means.

During a spoiler chat with E! Online, Davis talks about season 3, episode 24 and what we could possibly be up for in the finale of what has been an intense and whirlwind season.

“People in the know will understand that it refers to a move in the game of Go, which is the Japanese version of Chess, basically,” he tells E! Online. “Go is a very Asian game. It’s Chinese, Korean and Japanese. It’s a very difficult game to learn and compete in.”

E! also teases that the finale will be “one epic mindgame,” and that we should start preparing ourselves now.

If the previous episodes of season 3 are anything to go by, we don’t think any level of preparation will get us ready for what is bound to go down in episode 24.

For those of you wondering, the Divine Move is a very special, rare, and difficult move in the game of Go. It is actually a collective of moves that are done subtly in order to trick your opponent into not realizing what you’re setting up until the very last minute. The move is used to completely turn the tide, so that if you were at one moment losing the battle, now you are winning the game.

The Divine Move is not about brute force, but about strategy, and oftentimes it comes with sacrifices. The cast and crew of Teen Wolf has been teasing a major character death from the very beginning of season 3B, so we expect the Divine Move to come at the cost of one of our heroes. But who will it be?
