In a new interview with Nightline ABC, Javier Bardem confirmed his involvement in Bond 23, the upcoming James Bond film, rumored to be titled Skyfall, where he will be playing the villain.

When asked about the role, Bardem had this to say:

I am very excited, my parents took me to watch the movies, and I saw all of them, and to play that is going to be fun. They chose me to play this man, but I cannot give you many details.

With this news now confirmed, Bardem joins Daniel Craig, who is returning as James Bond himself, Judi Dench as M, with Naomi Harris as Mrs. Moneypenny and Ralph Fiennes in a “top secret” role both rumored for roles in the film, which will be directed by Sam Mendes (American Beauty).
