Speaking with Barbara Walters on The View, Saturday Night Live’s Jason Sudeikis says that he actually doesn’t know whether or not he will be leaving the show this season.

Barbra Walters, who recently announced her own retirement coming in 2014, was pressing Jason Sudeikis about whether or not his time on the late night comedy show had comed to an end last weekend when Saturday Night Live wrapped its 38th season.

Jason replied that he was honored that Walters, a journalism legend, would be doing such a thing:

“I feel honored to be getting hardballed by you! I don’t know. I sincerely don’t know at this point.”

During last week’s season 38, finale hosted by Ben Affleck, Saturday Night Live fans said a tearful goodbye to two of the show’s most classic male leads: Fred Armisen and Bill Hader. This is the second season in a row where Sudeikis’ involvement with the show has been up in the air. With Hader and Armisen gone, and Seth Meyers moving on to do Late Night starting in early 2014, there are going to be 3 vacant male lead openings for the show which hasn’t left fans feeling good at all.

With Saturday Night Live being very hit or miss in the last couple of seasons, what are your thoughts about Jason Sudeikis potentially saying goodbye to Studio 8H for good? Let us know what you think: should he stay for one more season or should he go?
