Jason Statham and director Guy Ritchie are joining forces for yet another action flick coming down the pipeline at Miramax. Here’s what we know about ‘Five Eyes’ so far!

According to Variety, actor Jason Statham is attached to star in Five Eyes, a brand new spy thriller set to be helmed by director Guy Ritchie.

The project marks a bit of a reunion for Statham (Hobbs and Shaw) and Ritchie (The Gentlemen) who are no strangers to working together on action vehicles. Previously, they’ve teamed up for Cash Truck, Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, and Snatch.

For Five Eyes, Statham will find himself playing an agent who ends up getting recruited for the film’s titular global intelligence organization. His first mission is to figure out how to track down and stop the sale of a deadly new weapon that could change the world as we know it.

He won’t be going it alone though. Joining him on his world-wide quest to track down the billionaire arms broker in control of the new deadly weapon is a high tech CIA expert.

There’s no word yet on who will join Statham and play opposite him as the CIA expert in question.

Behind the camera, Ritchie will serve as director and producer on the project. He’ll be directing off of a script written by Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davis.

Currently, there’s no word yet on when we can expect the action flick to hit the big screen, but principle photography on Five Eyes is slated to begin this October out in Europe.
