We reported earlier that Janet Jackson had been considered to fill one of the 2 vacant judges’ seats for the next season of X Factor, but the music legend has officially taken her name out of the ring citing scheduling conflicts.
Janet told The Insider that she’s flattered by the consideration but with a tour and movie commitments, it’s unrealistic:
“very flattered that X Factor let me know that I was being considered for next season, but it just wouldn’t be possible.”
Interestingly, Janet’s team added that there had not been any meetings between X Factor and Jackson’s management.
Simon Cowell is looking to replace Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul after a lackluster first season.
