Glee season 5 is about to shoot their Finn/Cory Monteith tribute episode, and actress Jane Lynch says it’s going to be rough to get through.

Lynch spoke with E! Online and told the publication that filming is expected to begin this Friday.

“It’s gonna be awful,” she said. “It’s gonna be terrible. It has to be done but it’s gonna be awful. We haven’t started yet and I think we start on Friday. I haven’t seen the script yet.”

Lynch was also asked what her favorite thing about Monteith was. “His dimples. His smile. So cute,” she replied.

Edit: In a tweet on Wednesday afternoon, Lynch told followers she read the script and described it as “the most beautiful thing.”

Glee season 5 showrunner Ryan Murphy confirmed earlier this month that the episode will focus on the death of Finn, but won’t reveal how the character died. It will instead honor the memory.

The comments from Murphy came as a welcome relief to fans after hearing Fox president Kevin Reilly tell reporters that the episode would focus on drug abuse. While Glee won’t say that Finn died of drug abuse, they will reportedly run PSAs during the episode directed by Murphy in which they encourage those struggling with abuse to get help.

Glee season 5 premieres Thursday, September 26 on Fox. The first two episodes will be Beatles-centric while episode 3 will be the Finn/Monteith tribute.

We learned earlier this week that singer and X Factor judge Demi Lovato will have a multi-episode role in season 5.
