A bit of casting news came out of Hollywood – James Marsden will join the cast of Anchorman 2, and Megan Fox will star in the Ninja Turtles reboot!

Marsden has starred in many successful films, such as 27 DressesThe Notebook, three X-Men films, and Hairspray. Now he’ll be joining the legendary Ron Burgundy Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, David Koechner, Christina Applegate, and recent addition Kristen Wiig in Anchorman Two: The Legend Continues. Deadline states he’ll be joining the team as a rival anchor to the Channel Four News Team. Shooting will begin in Atlanta next month, and it’s slated for a December 20 release date.

Fox, despite her trouble working with Michael Bay in 2010, will be joining the cast of the Ninja Turtles reboot, Deadline reports. Bay is producing, and Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans) will direct. Originally scheduled for a late 2013 release, it was pushed back to May 2014. Fox was most recently seen in Judd Apatow’s This is 40, the “sort-of-sequel” to Knocked Up.

What do you think about Marsden’s and Fox’s casting? Are you excited to see Marsden in a more comedic role than what he’s done in the past? Do you think Fox will be able to pull off another action film, like Transformers? Leave us your thoughts below.
