Only about a decade removed from the original box office mega hit Spider-Man, James Franco spoke recently about the most recent incarnation: The Amazing Spider-Man.

James Franco sat down with MTV where they asked if he had a chance to check out The Amazing Spider-Man which hit theaters last summer. When asked what he thought about the movie and where it went, James had a simple reply:

“Eh…”

James went on to say what many critics had to say about the film:

“They could have strayed a little bit more from the original. Well, I guess they made a lot of money. Congrats. Good for them.”

Spider-Man fans have always had mixed reactions when it comes to weighing the first 3 Spider-Man films to the recent reboot starring Andrew Garfield.

Speaking of Spider-Man, Shailene Woodley, who was originally meant to play Mary Jane in the upcoming sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man has been cut from the film (read all about that here). Sony has also set release dates for not just the third installment of this latest series but the fourth as well!
