The Casual Vacancy author J.K. Rowling continues to fill up her promotional schedule for the release of her first post-Potter book. Her latest to be announced is also the only public event she’s holding in Scotland.

Rowling will appear at the Lennoxlove Book Festival on Friday, November 2 as the headliner. Organizers state she’ll be discussing the book – there hasn’t been a confirmation about a signing like at other planned Casual Vacancy events.

To purchase tickets, the box office will open to the public on September 13.

This event is the latest in a long line of publicity Rowling will do for her novel that Little, Brown says is comparable to Dickens. She has a single interview in Australia, several United States television appearances, a public New York City event, and a reading, signing, and Q&A on release day at Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. She’ll also be at the Cheltenham Literature Festival to discuss and sign copies. Just this morning we learned that she’ll appear on BBC2 program titled Writing for Grown-Ups.

The Casual Vacancy will be released on September 27 at the worldwide on-sale time of 8 AM GMT (3 AM ET, 12 AM PT).
