It’s great to hear all these great things from J.J., especially with the show being in danger of cancellation. It definitely is an “odd show,” but we love it. J.J. also compliments John Noble, whom he says brings a “Shakespearean brilliance” to the role of Walter Bishop.
He also explains how fans can help keep the show on the air: watch it on Friday night when it airs! (You can record Supernatural and watch it later!) Maybe a good incentive would be that if the show does come back for season 5, J.J. himself might direct an episode! Tell your friends.
