In what promises to be a very busy episode, Liv rushes to cover up the discovery of the zombie outbreak in Seattle.

In an episode titled “Dead Rat, Live Rat, Brown Rat, White Rat,” one can only expect that Ravi’s zombie cure will come into play. Would Liv take the cure? It sure would be a pretty boring show if the titular zombie was, ahem, no longer a zombie.

In the last episode, Liv hallucinated nearly the entire thing, making most of the drama moot, but still fun. In her imagination, she kissed Major and revealed to him that zombies do indeed exist. She also imagined that she teamed up with weatherman Johnny Frost to solve the murder of Major’s mental hospital friend Scott E. In reality, Major loomed over Blaine’s meat shop, and Ravi moved things along with Peyton.

The synopsis for the episode reveals that Liv will be forced to eat the brain of a teenager, adding yet another hilarious skit to Rose McIver’s repertoire.

A group of drunken teenagers take a late night joyride with disasters consequences. As they cover up the accident, the man mysteriously comes back to life and attacks one of the girls. After Liv (Rose McIver) consumes the girl’s brain, she is taken back to high school as she and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) investigate the case. A surprise death of one of the victim’s friends raises some serious questions about the case. Major (Robert Buckley) believes Blaine’s (David Anders) deli is not all it seems to be. Rahul Kohli also stars.

In the trailer for the episode, Liv comes to the shocking realization that she created another zombie (likely from the person she was eating after the Lake Washington massacre).

In the inside look of “Dead Rat, Live Rat, Brown Rat, White Rat,” it’s revealed that this episode of iZombie is inspired by the cult classic horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer.

Stills released of the episode show Major working undercover at Blaine’s meat shop.

Including tonight’s episode, there are only two more episodes left of iZombie season 1. But fear not; the show will return for a second season, which is currently being written by Rob Thomas’ trusty staff.

iZombie airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on The CW.
