As if having Ryan Hansen on iZombie wasn’t enough, fans of Veronica Mars will be treated to the appearance of Ronnie’s sidekick in a deadly episode where Liv eats the brains of a sniper.

In last week’s episode of iZombie, Liv ate the brain of a sex expert/radio talkshow host, eventually leading to Ravi and Peyton getting together.

Meanwhile, Liv thought everything was going right with Lowell, until she had two very shocking revelations: That Lowell had just fed her the brain of one of Major’s shelter kids, and that Blaine had been personally delivering the goods to her beau ever since Lowell turned undead.

Major seemed to be readying himself for a battle, in that he visited a shady arms dealer to buy some guns. The final twist in an excellent episode: Ravi was bitten by a zombie rat.

The synopsis for tonight’s iZombie reads:

Liv (Rose McIver) and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) investigate the mysterious death of a former sniper, Everett (guest star Ronald Patrick Thompson), who has been working as an instructor at a paintball facility. They begin questioning family members including Everett’s ex-wife and her new husband Sean (guest star Percy Daggs III) and realize things are not what they seem. Meanwhile, Major (Robert Buckley) continues to get closer and closer to the truth, and Blaine (David Anders) does the unthinkable.

In iZombie season 1, episode 9, “Patriot Brains,” we will understandably see Liv and Lowell under a lot of stress. In the behind the scenes clip of the episode, Livwell is not living well (sorry, we had to), as Liv confronts the fact that the brain flashes should’ve raised Lowell’s suspicions about the brains. Percy Daggs III also makes an appearance at the end of this clip.

Major will be getting himself deeper into trouble as he discovers what the brains are being used for, and perhaps even does in The Candyman, per exact evidence via a clip and stills released from “Patriot Brains.”

In the trailer for the episode, Liv states that it’s high time to kill Blaine. Could she be speaking under the influence of the brain of the sniper that she just ate, or is this final confrontation something she would’ve done regardless?

iZombie airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on The CW.
