Previously an event exclusive to London, Apple announced Wednesday that the iTunes Festival will premiere in the United States this March.

The U.S. iTunes Festival will run from March 11 – 15 in Austin, Texas at the annual South by Southwest music festival, but anyone with an Apple device will be able to watch all of the concerts for free online. You’ll be able to watch via the iTunes Store on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or PC. Alternatively, you can use the iTunes Festival app on your iOS device or Apple TV.

Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Pitbull, Keith Urban, and ZEDD are the first five artists confirmed for the iTunes Festival.

“The iTunes Festival in London has become an incredible way for Apple to share its love of music with our customers,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services. “We’re excited about the incredible lineup of artists performing and SXSW is the perfect place to debut the first iTunes Festival in the U.S.”

As we did last year, Hypable will share live stream links for select performances so you can easily be reminded when your favorite artists are performing.

The annual iTunes Festival first launched in 2007. The key difference between Austin’s iTunes Festival and the ones held in London is that the latter’s were held over an entire month, while Austin’s will only be five days.

We’ll share additional artist announcements as they’re unveiled. Last year’s event in London played host to big names like Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, and Katy Perry.
