It: Chapter 2 has officially found its adult Eddie Kaspbrak in James Ransone.

According to IndieWire, The Wire actor James Ransone has officially signed on to play an older version of Eddie Kaspbrak in the highly anticipated sequel to last year’s It, It: Chapter 2.

The second installment of the Stephen King adaptation is once again being directed by Andres Muschietti and it’ll find the Losers Club coming back to face off against Pennywise the Dancing Clown as adults.

Ransone, who is no stranger to the horror genre having previously worked on Sinister, joins previously announced cast members Bill Hader, James McAvoy, and Jessica Chastain.

They’ll also be playing adult versions of the kids we met in the first installment of the horror flick, with Hader playing Ritchie, McAvoy playing Bill, and Chastain playing Beverly.

In last year’s updated adaptation of the Stephen King classic, Ritchie, Bill, Beverly, and Eddie were played by Finn Wolfhard, Jaeden Lieberher, Sophia Lillis, and Jack Dylan Grazer, respectively.

Though the adult version of the Losers Club is coming together, the film will still need to cast Ben, Mike and Stan to round off their cast.

Though Muschietti has spoken in the past about wanting to blend both the past and the present together in the second movie, there’s still no word on whether any of the kids from 2017’s It will return to reprise their roles in flashbacks.

That being said, there’s one actor from the original who’ll be returning for the sequel. Bill Skarsgard will be coming back to reprise his role as the sinister Pennywise the Dancing Clown.

It: Chapter 2 is slated to hit theaters on September 6, 2019.
