Details about Iron Man 3 re-shoots have just been revealed and it looks as though the production will be shooting in Hollywood near the TLC (Grauman’s) Chinese Theatre.

Principal photography for Iron Man 3 was supposedly wrapped a few weeks back, but then it was reported that a small crew consisting of 12 would be headed to India where a four-day shoot would take place. The Hindustan Times had said that the production would be filming in Hyderabad and Bengaluru and that “Stark may be in India searching for some answers for his technological problems.”

We assume those re-shoots in India have been finished and the production is now back in the U.S. re-shooting some footage that took place in L.A.

During an interview with Collider, Don Cheadle was asked about his involvement in Iron Man 3. According to the interview, when asked about the high expectations for the new film he also confirmed that there would be some re-shoots within the next few weeks.

Cheadle went on to say, “I hope that it performs to those levels. We did a little piece of it at Comic-Con and people went crazy. It looked great. The script is good. We’re doing a couple re-shoots next week, but I’m encouraged.”

New details have now emerged and Iron Man 3 will reportedly be doing re-shoots in Hollywood. The Hollywood Orchid Suites, a hotel near Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, revealed some specific details about the re-shoot on its Facebook page:

“There will be flashes of light, debris being propelled out of the courtyard towards the street and about 30 cars driving by with obligatory fender benders. The shoot will cause street closures on Hollywood Blvd., between Highland Ave. and Orange Dr., Highland Ave. and McCadden Pl., beginning on Mon., January 21, 7:00 p.m. through Tues., January 22, 4:00 a.m.”

Also revealed were shooting details and what some may consider a minor spoiler: Grauman’s Chinese Theatre will be ‘blown up’ during a battle in the new film:

“Wide-angled shots from cranes positioned high overhead ‘to capture the full scope, color and liveliness of Hollywood’ while they ‘blow up’ Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.”

Fans should take these reports lightly as of now, but considering Don Cheadle previously confirmed that he would be taking part in some re-shoots within the next few weeks, the details of the report seem fairly legit. There’s currently no word as to whether Robert Downey Jr. or any of the other main cast will be involved, but we wouldn’t be surprised to catch a glimpse of them during the re-shoots next week.

Iron Man 3 is slated to hit theaters May 3, 2013.
