Iron Man 3 had initially finished up its filming in China this past week, but it’s now being reported that a small crew is headed to India for a four-day shoot.

Principal photography for Iron Man 3 was reportedly wrapped, but it looks like a small crew consisting of 12 will be headed to India where a four-day shoot will take place. The Hindustan Times is reporting that they will be filming in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. According to the report, Stark may be in India searching for some answers for his technological problems:

“They will be here between January 20 and 24 for an extensive location hunt for certain scenes of the film. They will be visiting Hyderabad and Bengaluru to see how they can use this,” the source also adds, “In the film, supposedly, Stark will be in India, and the techies here will help him with his technological problems.”

This isn’t entirely surprising, as films often do reshoots or pick-ups when the director finds during the editing process that another scene or shot is needed. Director Shane Black is working with editor Jeffry Ford, who also worked with Joss Whedon on the box office smash The Avengers.

It seems as though Tony Stark will be doing some jet-setting in Iron Man 3, as he appears to be traveling the globe quite a bit in the sequel. We imagine this is due to the fact that the film’s main villain The Mandarin, played by Sir Ben Kingsly, is essentially the leader of an international terrorist organization.

We look forward to seeing how all of these locations will mesh in Iron Man 3 when it hits theaters May 3, 2013.
