As many of you know, films often assume fake production titles to stop looki-loos and paparazzi from stepping in on their work.

Occasionally the title is widely known (like when everyone knew that Magnus Rex was code for The Dark Knight Rises) it still stops locals from noticing a title as instantly recognizable as Iron Man.

Now that production has started in North Carolina, the production title “Caged Heat” has been chosen for Iron Man 3.

According to ComicBook.com (via CBM) the title was chosen in light of the beginning of the set construction for the movie, which is slated to begin filming in early May or even late April.

What do you think? Does the code name have anything to do with the intended plot of the film? What exactly does director Shane Black have up his sleeve for Marvel’s first post-Avengers outing?
