Netflix just released the trailer for The Irishman, starring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci, and it’s an intense look at the mob.

Martin Scorsese’s latest movie, The Irishman, is releasing on Netflix and has a pretty powerful cast. Legends like De Niro, Pesci, and Pacino are headlining the film, but it also stars other talented actors like Anna Paquin, Bobby Cannavale, Jesse Plemons, and Ray Romano.

Netflix just released a trailer for The Irishman, and it looks like it is going to be a movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Take a peek at the trailer:

The basic plot of the film follows Frank Sheeran, a WWII veteran and a hustler/hitman working alongside some of the most notorious names in organized crime. The Irishman tells the story of organized crime and how it grew in post-WWII America through Sheeran’s perspective.

Sheeran might not be a name you recognize, but he was a real man and was a labor union official well known for his connection to high-powered crime families. As a man who had a high rank in the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, he played a huge part in the corruption of unions by the mob. The Irishman will follow his story as it developed over the decades he worked with the mob.

The movie offers viewers a truly unique view into the world of the inner workings of the mob while telling the story of one of the most notorious and unsolved disappearances ever: the disappearance of union boss Jimmy Hoffa. The Irishman is basically required viewing for anyone interested in the mob and their rise to power in post-WWII America, and with the likes of Scorsese, De Niro, Pesci, and Pacino at the helm of this film, it’s almost guaranteed to be brilliant.

The Irishman is obviously trying to be a contender for Awards Season, so it will release in select theaters and on Netflix this fall. It will also premiere at the New York Film Festival on September 27.
