In January we told you that Apple may dump the headphone jack with iPhone 7, and now leaked photos confirm that change to be the case.

MacRumors, a reputable Apple rumor website, has posted photos of the iPhone 7 from a Chinese repair shop which they believe to be authentic. The pictures show the phone on and running Apple’s development software.

Though the iPhone 7 is lacking any major external design changes like previous number upgrades, there is one very noticeable change that’s sure to cause some controversy: There’s no headphone jack on the bottom. In its place is a second speaker.

So how will you listen to your music and podcasts in the privacy of your own ear holes? Apple is expected to debut a new set of earbuds that connect via the Lightning jack. Apple-branded Bluetooth headphones could also be in the pipeline.

But there’s a major issue with using the Lightning jack — the last remaining port on the iPhone — to listen to your music: What if you want to charge your phone at the same time? What if you’re on a long car trip and you need to charge your phone while listening to your music via your car’s aux-in jack? What if you’re on a plane or walking around playing Pokemon GO, and you need to charge your phone with an external battery while listening to your music?

We won’t know the answers to these questions until September, when Apple is expected to announce and release the iPhone 7. They’re expected to release iOS 10 the same month.
