Into the Badlands season 3, episode 11, “The Boar and the Butterfly,” is at least as good as the double premiere — if not better! Here are some teases for this week.

Have you been enjoying Into the Badlands’ return? I sure have. The double premiere of episodes 9 and 10 were a hit among fans, who were just happy to have their favorite show back on air! The plot is really moving now that we’re in the back half of the final season of the show.

Pilgrim is still a force to be reckoned with, but he’s starting to lose control now that the dark power is inside of him. Meanwhile, Sunny realizes it’s his responsibility to stop the apocalypse he helped set in motion. He must gather all of his allies, as tumultuous as some of those relationships are, and make a move before it’s too late.

The official synopsis for Into the Badlands season 3, episode 11, “The Boar and the Butterfly,” reads, “Sunny and Nix seek information that could destroy Pilgrim; The Widow and Bajie team up with the Master; M.K. leads Pilgrim to a great source of power.”

If you can’t wait until Monday night at 10:00 p.m. ET on AMC for your Into the Badlands fix, then check out some of our screener secrets from this week’s episode.

We learn more about the Black Lotus

They’ve only been mentioned a few times, and we only saw them once in the first half of season 3, but the Black Lotus is definitely a big deal. They were searching for Sunny when he was just a kid, and the River King pointed them in his direction as an adult. In this week’s episode, we’re definitely learning more about who they are and what they want.

You will once again appreciate the diversity of casting

This show is known for its incredible diversity, both in front of and behind the camera. This week, we meet a new character who has a significant tie to one of our main cast members. I was once again delighted that Into the Badlands chose to open up its casting even further than it already has, and I hope you are, too.

We see The Gift do something new

Although we’ve been dealing with Dark Ones since season 1 of the show, The Gift is still just as mysterious as it’s always been. In “The Boar and the Butterfly,” you can expect to see The Gift do something we’ve never seen before. And it sounds like this isn’t the only secret that’s still hidden.

Several old characters return

We get to see a couple familiar faces this season that we haven’t seen in a while. It’s nice to have some old characters pop up again, even if they’re not all exactly helpful. You can also expect some interesting dynamics in episode 11. I love when characters who don’t normally work side by side are forced to do just that!

Bajie is the emotional heart of the episode

Bajie is, hands down, the funniest character on Into the Badlands, but Nick Frost is also an incredible dramatic actor. In fact, his more intimate moments mean even more because we’re used to seeing him cracking jokes left and right. You’ll still get plenty of jokes in next week’s episode, but you’ll get some tender moments, as well.

‘Into the Badlands’ airs Monday nights at 10:00 p.m. on AMC
