Into the Badlands season 3, episode 9, “Chamber of the Scorpion,” aired on Sunday, March 24 at 10:00 p.m., setting in motion the final eight episode of the series.
At the very end, and following an incredible showdown between Pilgrim and Sunny, we see Sunny thrown through a window and into the raging river below.
While I doubt anyone thought he was dead — he is the main character, after all — it doesn’t make us want to know what happened to him any less! How injured is he and will he be able to escape Pilgrim’s grasp?
Thanks to AMC, we have an exclusive clip from tonight’s episode, which you can watch below! In it, we see what happened after Sunny went through that window and what challenges he faces next.
Poor, Sunny! That gash in his side doesn’t look great, and the fact that he’s already had to fight for his life after coming out of the river doesn’t bode well, either.
We see him take down one of Pilgrim’s men, but there are plenty more roaming the forest looking for him. Will he be able to escape unnoticed? If so, how will he make it back to Pilgrim with enough power to defeat him?
There’s a whole world still to save, after all.
