It shouldn’t come as too big of a surprise, but it looks like Interstellar might be even longer than Christopher Nolan’s most recent film The Dark Knight Rises.

It’s far from an official confirmation, but the run time of Interstellar has been listed on the website of Event Cinemas (via Awards Circuit). According to that theater chain based in Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji, Interstellar will clock in at 169 minutes.

If the 169 minute running time is accurate, Interstellar would be Christopher Nolan’s longest movie yet, but just barely. The Dark Knight Rises had a 165 minute running time, so this would be only four minutes longer than his previous longest movie. On the whole, Nolan’s films have gotten progressively longer throughout his career, something that likely has to do with studios giving him significant freedom.

From everything we’ve seen so far, Interstellar absolutely looks like it will deserve every minute of its lengthy running time. Just yesterday a new batch of images were released, and they look astoundingly beautiful.

The first full length Interstellar trailer followed Matthew McConaughey’s character in his decision to go on a mission to save all of humanity in order to find a new world capable of sustaining human life rather than take care of the immediate needs of his family. It was certainly as dramatic as anything Nolan has done yet in his career and gave us great expectations for the film, and we can’t wait to see how it plays out.

The second trailer showed us even more of McConaughey’s struggle in having to leave his family, particularly his daughter who it looks like he has a very special relationship with, and it looked very emotional. The trailer also featured some truly astounding visuals that we can’t wait to see on the big screen.

In addition to McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Casey Affleck, Ellen Burstyn, Wes Bentley, Mackenzie Foy, Bill Irwin, Topher Grace, David Oyelowo, and John Lithgow all star in the film. Even Matt Damon will have a small role in the film.
