Prepare to be blown away by stunning visual effects, and a stunningly confusing plot. Interstellar will return to theaters for one day only, with brand new footage.

Paramount is making one last ditch effort to up the Oscar buzz for last year’s Interstellar, which has been nominated for a bunch of technical awards at the 87th Academy Awards.

Interstellar, even more so than the claustrophobic Gravity from 2013, was an ambitious space opera with mind-blowing visual effects and stellar (heh) acting from its leads.

Directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway and Michael Caine, Interstellar had all the makings of a smash hit cinematic experience.

But it seems the Academy were as confused by the time-jumping, too neatly bow-wrapped reality distorting ending as many of the movie-going audience members, and Interstellar did not score nominations in any of the major categories except Best Original Score (Hans Zimmer).

That doesn’t stop Paramount from pushing it forward however, and if you did love Interstellar, you’ll be happy to learn that you’ve got one last chance to experience it in IMAX ahead of this Sunday’s Oscar Awards ceremony.

This Saturday, Feb. 21, IMAX theaters across the U.S. will present Interstellar at 3 p.m., and the screening includes 12 minutes of never before seen behind-the-scenes footage.

It’s also a two-for-one offer: go down to your local AMC Theater and purchase a ticket, and you’ll get a extra ticket for a friend. Plus, if you’re one of the first 300 guests at the screening, you also get a limited edition set of movie prints.

It’s a perfect offer if you for whatever reason never got around to seeing the film when it was in cinemas: Interstellar is definitely a movie you’ll want to experience in an IMAX theater!
