The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to set records. By the close of Saturday, Infinity War became the fastest movie to $1 billion at the worldwide box office.

That impressive feat was achieved over just 11 days. Infinity War opened in overseas territories on April 25, before the U.K. joined on April 26, followed by the US on April 27, and Russia on May 3. The movie has yet to open in China, which will undoubtedly give Infinity War another significant financial boost.

Infinity War still has a long way to go before it comes close to knocking Avatar from the top spot at $2.7 billion. The $1.164 billion total for Infinity War saw it comfortably into 15th place, ahead of Civil War ($1.1 billion), but still behind Iron Man 3 ($1.2 billion), Black Panther ($1.3 billion), Age of Ultron ($1.4 billion), The Avengers ($1.5 billion).

Should its current pace at the box office, with the added help from China, continue, it would be safe to assume that Infinity War could cross the $2 billion mark by the end of its run at theaters. Only three movies have achieved that number before: the aforementioned box office juggernaut, Avatar, Titanic, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The next movie in the Marvel Universe, Ant-Man and The Wasp, is not expected to match Infinity War’s box office pace. However, Solo, the upcoming Han Solo movie, is tracking for a $170 million+ opening weekend, which could set a new box office records itself.

In the end, Disney is going to be the undisputed winner at the box office, with the movies of the MCU and Lucasfilm under its purview. It just remains to be seen where Infinity War ends its run, and how many records it can break on the way there.
