With Breaking Bad’s final eight episodes only a few weeks away, AMC has released character portraits of the lead stars.

Perhaps not so surprisingly, Breaking Bad season five newcomers Lydia and Todd have their own portraits which suggests they’ll have major roles in season 6 when it commences on August 11.

We’re also treated to some gorgeous photos of a pair of cast members in tense moments. These are not scenes from the show but hint at the tough challenges ahead. For example, a photo of Skylar (Anna Gunn) and Walt (Bryan Cranston) shows them far apart from one another with a pile of dirt and a shovel. Will they be burying their past behind them or will one be burying the other?

In another, Jesse (played by Aaron Paul) holds a gun in a car while Walt stands outside.

Can you draw any conclusions from these posters? One of our favorites is the one of Hank and Walt staring each other down.

Breaking Bad season 6 airs Sunday, August 11 on AMC. The final eight episodes will presumably kick off with how Hank reacts to connecting Walt with Heisenberg. See photos from season 6, episode 1.

At San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend, the Breaking Bad cast held their second and last panel to speak to fans. They also shared footage from the final eight episodes which sadly hasn’t appeared online yet. Watch the panel (sans footage) in our master panel post.
