Nickelodeon’s iCarly will soon be getting the revival treatment!

According to Variety, a revival of Nickelodeon’s iCarly is officially on the horizon over at Paramount Plus.

In news that’s bound to excite fans of the original 2000s series, actors Mirando Cosgrobe, Jerry Trainor, and Nathan Cress (who played Carly, Spencer, and Freddie in the original series) have all signed on to appear in the upcoming revival.

Notably absent from the list of confirmed returning stars is actress Jenette McCurdy who played Carly’s friend Sam Puckett on the show.

Behind the scenes, Jay Kogen and Ali Schouten have even tapped to spearhead the development of the revival.

First premiering in 2007 on Nickelodeon, iCarly ran for a total of six seasons and 97 episodes before eventually coming to an end in 2012. The show focused on a group of friends who, in addition to dealing with life and school, also worked together to produce a popular webcast.

Currently, there’s not much to go off of with regards to what we can expect the revival to focus on. That being said, because the original revolved around Carly’s web series, it’ll be interesting to see if the revival finds a way to propel the idea of internet fame into the present date.

Regardless, we’re sure that fans of the original Nickelodeon series will be extremely interested to find out more details as the series moves further and further into production.

Paramount Plus has not yet revealed when we can expect to see the iCarly revival premiere.
